On the afternoon of April 19, 1998, WARS was dispatched to this accident involving 65 vehicles pilled up together. As can be seen from these pictures, the multiple accidents occurred because of the heavy fog that sometimes covers that area of the mountain. Several nearby EMS and fire stations responded to aid in this incident and 40 patients were transported to nearby hospitals.
