Am: $10-trophy only (+10 for non-PDGA)

9am Players Meeting

Volunteers needed to help register, take money for food, and handle scorecards between rounds and at the end of the tournament.

Greene County Course Update

The tree harvesting project at Greene County Community Park has concluded. Unfortunately, the back 1/3 of the course is unplayable at this time. Members of the BRDGC are working with the GC Parks/Rec department to bring the affected holes back into play. However, this process will not happen overnight so your patience is requested while we work on a re-design of the holes.

The good news is that the course currently has 12 playable holes thanks to the efforts of several BRDGC members and locals. There are 2 course options available at this time:

9 - Hole configuration that loops back to tee box number 1, featuring a tremendous 634 foot shot teeing from top of hill (aka Blue 17) to what was our number 18 basket. Play this now as it may not be available in the future. We have also placed some Blue tee boxes in this design so that you can play a full 18 holes. Please check tee signs for box locations.

12 - Hole configuration that incorporates all the traditional holes in the front section of the course, plus a nice downhill shot to basket 17 (aka Blue 17) and our traditional closing hole to the number 18 basket.

Hole number 1 has been re-designed with a new pin placement, so please look for new tee box area. In addition, we have added some length to the out of woods into the field hole. The pin is now placed closer to the bridge going across the stream.

The course can be muddy in some sections so please bring appropriate shoes.

New Members and Volunteers Welcome!

The Blue Ridge Disc Golf Club is seeking new members and volunteers to help promote the sport of disc golf and for help with the construction and maintenance of the new course. Members get 1/2 price for Annual Pass to Albemarle County Parks. Please e-mail Jesse Pritchard if you are interested in membership. Yearly Membership is only $20.00. It includes bag tag, discounts on discs, and keeping informed about club events with e-mail.

Disc League will be playing at Walnut Creek "The Nut" on odd numbered Saturdays and Greene County on even numbered Saturdays this 2008 season. Meet at 10:30am at the club kiosk.
